Modelled along the lines of the Palace on Wheels, the Deccan Odyssey is a royal 5 star resort on wheels taking guests across a splendorous journey over the Western Ghats, the Konkan coast and the Deccan Plateau.

In operation since 2004, the luxury train of India offers 6 itineraries each of 7 nights and 8 days. The journeys are labelled Maharashtra Splendor, Indian Odyssey, Indian Sojourn, Jewels of the Deccan, Hidden Treasures of Gujarat and Maharashtra-a Wild Trail.

In all, destinations covered among the above itineraries include Mumbai, Goa, Nashik, Ajanta-Ellora caves, Kolhapur, Sindhudurg, Sawai Madhopur, Agra, Udaipur, Jaipur, Vadodara, Palitana, gir, Little Rann of Kutchch, Modhera, Bijapur, Aihole, Pattadakal, Hampi, Hyderabad and Delhi according to journey chosen.

Guests enjoy royal treatment and can pick various types of accommodation in the 10 coaches, such as presidential suites or deluxe. The train has 2 restaurants, a well stocked bar, spa, mini gym and a parlour as well as library, music and activities to keep guests entertained while on board.
